Giving up nursing and drying up (OUCH)

Kristy gave up nursing Aaron on August 8th, 4 days after he was born. She did this for the following reasons:

-Aaron had a hard time nursing
-She had so much milk, she was afraid of going all day during the lumpectomy without expressing her milk and then worried about infection
-Cottonwood Hospital contacted the Enfamil rep and the rep offered to give us free formula whenever we needed it!
-AND Kristy realized that nursing a newborn was every 2-3 hours and she couldn't have anyone else do it for her, so foreseeing her impending lumpectomy, she was worried about having to keep getting up with the newborn without anyone else's help.

So she gave it up..

Drying up was HORRIBLE.
